Project Pajamas was a HUGE success! (November 2023) Partnering with Community & Family Services Foundation, 243 foster kids/teens will have new PJs to sleep in this winter! A special shout-out to Brick Ally (802 Bay Street) who collected over 80 pairs of pajamas! Let’s do it again next year!! Thank you everyone!
The Kiwanis Club of Port Orchard, was excited to deliver a Little Free Library to the developmental preschool program at South Kitsap School District Madrona Heights campus. Our club, in partnership with Little Free Library and preschool staff, are collaborating to bring books to our communities’ littlest learners and their families.
The library box, constructed by a club member, is made entirely from up cycled materials and designed to be accessible to preschool age children. It is mobile, which will allow it to be moved around the campus easily. Kiwanis members, and others, have been collecting books to help launch the library and the preschool had students add decoration to the library box and cart.
Programs supported by this effort include: SK Developmental Preschool, Head Start, Early Head Start and a Medically Fragile Program. (Nov 2022)

Supporting Port Orchard Farmer’s Market POP Club – Oct 2021
The Power of Produce (POP) Kids Club provides a fun opportunity for children to engage in the local food system through conversations directly with farmers, educational games and demonstrations, and exposure to new fruits and vegetables. In addition to participating in educational activities, POP Club kids receive vouchers to spend at the market, allowing them to make their own shopping decisions at the market.

Kiwanis Club of Port Orchard Meets Technology Needs in South Kitsap!
During the COVID-19 pandemic, students in South Kitsap School District are learning remotely as are students in districts around Washington and beyond. Students are completely reliant on technology devices and internet access to connect with their classes and participate in daily learning. Unfortunately, many in the community do not have the means necessary to pay for reliable internet service and families are scrambling to make sure their students don’t fall behind.
The Kiwanis Club of Port Orchard is committed to student success and recognized the need for funds to purchase technology. Members rallied around a Go Fund Me campaign and were able to raise $6,276. The campaign proceeds were donated to South Kitsap School District and will be used to purchase Chromebooks and internet jet packs for students.
